Hanable The Canable by Briana

Somewhere in the middle of Cancan village something strange was lurking in the air…

"Oh, what's that smell?"Sniffed a young lady.

Suddenly a young boy yelled, "Help! Help! I am being attacked!"

"Buzz, buzz, buzz," Hanable's recycling communicator buzzed.

"Ha! I knew you wouldn't last long EVIL SMELLY WEAR," warned HC. "Onwards to my recycling office."

"La, la, la, la, la, la polluting, polluting is fun come on pollute everyone" sang Evil Smelly Wear.

"Ha, I knew you couldn't resist polluting, Mr Evil Underwear" said HC. "Who, who said that?" said Evil Underwear.

"I did" said HC. {Hanable the Canable flew down}
"Hanable the Canable, I thought it was you. You can't stop me!" "Mowahahaaaa! What do you think you're going to do now?" said Evil Smelly Wear.
You'll see" said HC.
"What? Are you going to hit me with your best Recycle, recycle song?" said Evil Smelly Wear.
"Yep just that" said HC. "Recycle, recycle is good surely you really need to eat food, your smelly old wear is polluting the air recycle, and recycle is good" sang HC.

"Stop I hate music. It blows my beautiful ear wax out," said Evil Smelly Wear.
"You see recycling is good for the earth's condition you might think polluting is fun but all you're doing is creating bad air," said HC.
"Ha! You think you can stop me I don't think … wait a minute, oh poop you got me. Just you wait HC. I'll have you sorted next time we meet" said Evil Smelly Wear.

"He, he, he I always get him every time" laughed HC.

"Are you all right?." HC asked the boy.
"Yeah, I just got a fright when he attacked me with his smelly wear .Any way you saved the day," said the young boy.
"Well Recycling is good for the Earth's Surface because we need to have a healthy condition on Earth" explained Hanable the Canable /HC.

Water Cycle by Briana

INTRODUCTION

In New Zealand water is life. Water is very important for those who want to survive. Therefore we might think that water isn't much but everything needs water. And everything is from the heat of the sun. Subsequently the sun's heat controls the water cycle.

DESCRIPTION
Did you know that water is very valuable to all living things and there are three state forms of water: liquid, solid and gas?

PRECIPITATION
Precipitation is the process of little droplets of water such as snow, rain, ice and crystals falling down to the earth's surface and the clouds get heavy and rains back down.

HOW THE WATER CYCLE WORKS

The water cycle works in three state forms for example:

CONDENSATION Condensation is the process of a gas cooling down to became a liquid. Condensation is like a gas cloud that is formed from Evaporation.
EVAPORATION
Evaporation forms from Precipitation to Infiltration in the ground for the water to flow into the sea and then Evaporation happens. Then it forms into Condensation like before and turns into a cloud.
ATMOSPHERE
Atmosphere is an envelope surrounding the earth, otherwise the water will float away.

For this reason the water cycle is very important to earth. Without water earth would be lifeless to all.

Will

Dribble, dribble, dribble… as the sweat drips off Will's face. The hunters are shouting "dance monkey boy dance!!"

Nothing goes through Will's mind.

"DANCE!" says the hunter, getting angry but Will's too terrified to do what he says. The fear is running through Will's head like an electric zap.

Football Fever!

The Team 5 World Cup is heating up! While New Zealand gives it their best shot in South Africa, a smaller tournament is entertaining the Parkvale massive every lunchtime at 1pm.

So far Room 18 has defeated one unlucky class 5-0 and lost 3-1 to the pre-tournament TAB favourites, Room 19.

I also just want to shout "Go the All Whites!!!"
