Boo the cartoon bear !!!

This is Boo my cartoon bear.
Boo is a scary, funny and a talented bear.
He was born on Mars and has a twin sister named Yuuuuk.
Boo can be a little silly at times like once he played tag on the roof uh oh !!!
Boo is a great drawer he can draw  the map of Parkvale school in 10 seconds. Amazing right !!!

King Raam

Yesterday we went to Hastings Intermediate School and watched their fantastic production, King Raam. We decided to write some responses to the production, to send to the Intermediate. The children all decided on the purpose and text type for their piece of writing. Here are the first two finished and presented effectively by Breanna and Summer.

Breanna's strategy

My strategy is a double and half strategy and I have worked out an equation to solve 18 x 5 with double and half. I have two equations and I have done it on paint !!!

The S Fraction Poem

S is a third of the sun in the sky
S is a quarter of slam
S is a fifth of a stoat on the ground in the Bahamas of land
S is a sixth of Saturn in the sky
S is 0.4 soaps in the bathtub
S is amazing!!!

How the Purple Earth 3000 Works

 
Have you ever heard of the "Purple earth 3000 ?" well if you haven't it's a spacesuit with a map of the solar system connected to a flat screen TV which only appears when you say earth. It has an air conditioner an oxygen tank and sun proof sunglasses … it's amazing they all fit in one space suit!!!

 
Talking about the flat screen TV /it is invisible so technically you can only see it. So your astro / oh yes a toilet paper roll will pop up at your buddies will be saying "what are you doing? " If you have to go number 1 or number 2 no worries / you just open the flap under your pants and Walla you can go do your bisnise / oh yes a toilet paper roll will pop up at you . It also has nonstop food supplies and water!!!

 
So if you ever get chosen you travel to space buy the "Purple earth 3000 "today!!!!

Red Cross

Something I was pleased with was how Liz gave us the whole class a booklet about first aid.

I really enjoyed bandaging and elevating Breanna’s arm. I also enjoyed putting Breanna in the recovery position.

Something I found really hard was breathing with my nose blocked and chin on chest.

Something that made me think was how to make an elevate cast.

Something I want to get better at is learnig to bandage other peoples arms.

Something I want to get better at is learning how to deal with broken bones.

18 square metre rectangles

Today Olivia and Breanna did maths with Mr Moriarty and Miss Hill. We are very proud of what we have done. WALT work out areas of rectangles.We learnt what factors were and the measurements of rectangles.The factors of 18 are 2, 9, 1, 18, 3 and 6. We made 3 rectangles that all equalled 18 square metres. We would love any comments from anyone who visits our blog. Because we did hard work. We took a photo of our learning to show you our work.
