Flying Fred

This is Flying Fred. He is a mix between a bird and an elephant. Flying Fred has purple ears, an orange face and trunk, a checked body and spotted wings. He is an endangered species, the only one left in the world. When Flying Fred needs to get to places he flies because he has no legs.

This is my Mathletics poster. It is a made up  Design  in the middle and Design 31 round the outside. I had to measure the page and use my geometry skills. I used a Compass, Protractor and a ruler to do my Design.
I think my Design has lots of symmetry and I hope I come in a good place. I hope you like my Design.

The second of our quickly filmed and edited advertisements. This group had to edit their video from the beginning again after their project didn't save properly. They showed real determination (but I do regret not seeing the bloopers!).

Ride of the katipo (Epilogue)

As Jack waded through the salty shallow water, his friends played on the beach. He thought of the crazy things that had happened over the years. Jack ran up to the beach in the search of food anything would do! "I am so hungry" screamed Jack as he stuffed food in his mouth! He was wondering if the angel of the sea church was built and the vicar was safe.
He said to his friend he is going to the church on the top of the hill to see the vicar "OK,'' they yelled. So he ran to the church. It was finished and to his amazement there was the vicar smiling and he yelled out "Jack, come in. Have lunch with me!"
"OK then. I hope it's good!'' Jack yelled back. When they were having lunch the vicar said "I've got another mystery for you!" So off went Jack to Shipwreck Bay, where his mystery started.

So look out for the next book. But it's going to be written by Olivia Mairs (me).

Dear Olivia, Hi remember me? I am you but 5 years younger than you but I am still you. I am writing from back in 2011 in Parkvale school. With Mr Moriarty in room18.

This is what I want to tell you at the age of 9!! I absolutely love to eat / pies and chips ( they are fatty food but they are very yummy, what do you like to eat ? And I love to drink the drink / 7 up. What do you like to drink ?

My dream job is to be in the / black sticks for hockey or work in the spca to care for animals cause I love animals. How about you ? What is your dream job now? What have you been doing lately? Have you won money off lotto?cause I love money.
