The S Fraction Poem

S is a third of the sun in the sky
S is a quarter of slam
S is a fifth of a stoat on the ground in the Bahamas of land
S is a sixth of Saturn in the sky
S is 0.4 soaps in the bathtub
S is amazing!!!
S also has a seventh of a mystery finding the blue diamond of Sonya Sweet
S has a tenth of a conclusion in a hectors dolphin report

S has a courtesy in the politeness of words
S is truly amazing !!!

In groups we came up with different ways of showing two thirds. Here are photos of everyone's work and a video of the first group presenting their poster (Ben, Reanna, Yasmin & Riki).

Jake was late to school. One sixth of the way there he listened to a bird singing. One quarter of the way he sat down for a rest. He noticed he needed to tie his shoelaces up one third of the way. When he was three quarters of the way to school, he just had to pat Rover the dog.
