Tiger

I sat there, slumped on my cold desk, staring out the classroom window. The same old teachers' orders, deafening to the ear. Yet out the window, an amazing sight met my eyes. A Tiger sat there, staring into my eyes mysteriously in the shadowy, damp jungle. Birds take flight at the sight of its burning eyes. It wades in the murky water, head hung high with pride, stripes as hypnotizing as the moon. Trees stand high above gazing down below.

Then, crack! There was a yelp. A cold dead silence filled the air. The menacing tiger fell to the ground, its blood glistening sickly crimson in the sunlight. I take one last glance into its fiery eyes as it has its last breath and farewells the earth.

As I choke back my tears, soon enough I have to return to the real world. I open my eyes to see my teacher staring back at me. "Sleeping in class are we?" she barks. "Detention now!!!"
